American Repertory Ballet is proud to announce the return of the On Pointe enrichment series this season! This enrichment series brings guest speakers, lecture demonstrations, company performance previews and panel discussions to seasoned dance enthusiasts and new students alike, giving the community a behind-the-scenes look at the dance world and the artists of ARB.
All On Pointe events are free and open to the public. They all are held at Princeton Ballet School at 301 North Harrison Street (right above McCaffrey's Market) on the following Fridays at 5:15pm.
9/23/2011: Meet the Company
Led by ARB Company Director, Douglas Martin, this free event will include a showing by the company, discussion about the upcoming season and plenty of time to meet dancers, choreographers and staff.
10/14/2011: The Creative Process
ARB Resident Choreographers Mary Barton and Matthew Keefe, will share their choreographic process and will give a sneak peek into each of their world premiere ballets for the company's fall RVCC season.
11/18/2011: Behind the Curtain: Inside The Nutcracker
Get a sneak preview of Nutcracker excerpts and learn what's new, including choreography, costumes and sets.
01/06/2012: The Music of Romeo and Juliet
Featuring Guest Lecturer Simon Morrison
